The information we collect and use

By information, we mean the information about you collected by our website, including your email address and other information you provide to us when you sign up for our services or make inquiries about our services. All the information you provide to us will be retained and used solely for responding to your inquiry or communicating with you as a member of the service.

Registration

It is not necessary to register for a service to simply view the site. If you choose to register for a service, we will ask you for information that allows us to provide the requested service. You will then register using the designated form and this registration may require you to provide contact information such as your name and email address.

General Information

From time to time, we may collect general and non-personal statistical information about the use of the site and the service, such as the number of visitors who go to a specific page on the site, the time they spend on that page, and the hyperlinks they "click on," if applicable. We collect this information using technologies such as "cookies" and "IP addresses," which are detailed further below. We may also aggregate this information into overall data about visitors in order to describe the use of the site and the service to third parties, or in response to a government request. However, rest assured that this aggregate data will in no way allow you to be personally identified, nor will it allow other members of the list or any other visitor to the site to be identified.

IP Addresses

An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you surf the Web. Web servers, the computers that "serve" web pages, automatically identify your computer by its IP address. The company collects IP addresses for system administration purposes, to communicate aggregate information to third parties, and to track the use of the site. When visitors request pages from the site or click on a link in an email sent by the service, our servers log the IP addresses of the visitors. We reserve the right to use IP addresses to identify a visitor or a list member when it helps improve user experience or if we believe it is necessary to enforce the site's policies or to protect the company, the site, its visitors, the service, our Internet service provider partners, list members, or others.

Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual's hard drive for archival purposes. Cookies make it easier for you to navigate the web by saving your preferences when you are on the site. The use of cookies is an industry standard - you will find them on most websites. For example, we may use cookies on the site to check the subscriber's login status. They are not used to store personal information or to retain historical or transactional data of subscribers. By showing how and when visitors use the site, cookies help us see which areas are popular and which are not. Information such as the total number of visitors and the pages viewed is easier to track thanks to cookies. We may use information from cookies to improve and update the site and to tailor our services to the needs of our visitors, members of our lists, and participants in our surveys.

You always have the option to disable cookies by using your browser preferences. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is sent. However, be aware that some features of the site may not function properly or may be slower if you refuse cookies.

Clear gifs (web beacons / web bugs)

Invisible pixels are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, whose function is similar to that of cookies, and which are used to track the online movements of Web users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the user's computer hard drive, invisible pixels are invisibly embedded in HTML files and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

We can use invisible pixels in our HTML emails to know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to assess the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter or other promotional communications by email, you can choose to opt out by following the instructions included in each communication.

Profile

We may store the information we collect through cookies and invisible pixels in order to create a "profile" of your preferences. We may link your personal information to the information contained in the profile in order to offer you personalized promotions and marketing offers or to improve the site content for you. We do not share your profile with third parties.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Except for the limited situations listed here in this privacy policy, we will not share your personal information with third parties.

Agents and Third-Party Service Providers

To provide you with the service, we may sometimes call upon other companies to perform certain specialized services such as data processing or other technological services. In such cases, we may provide your personal information to these companies, but they will never be allowed to retain or use your information for other purposes.

Change of control / Asset transfer

As the firm grows, we may acquire other firms or sell all or part of our firm. Client information generally forms part of the business assets involved in such transactions. Thus, in the event that the firm, in whole or in part, is acquired by a third party, information about individuals, including information about visitors collected through the Site or the Service, would be one of the transferred assets. In the event of a change of control of the firm or the sale of all or part of the firm, our users will be informed in accordance with the "Changes to this policy" section of the policy if their personal information is provided to the buyer.

Legal compliance

The firm reserves the right to disclose information about the members in special cases, when we have reason to believe that the disclosure of this information is necessary to identify, contact or take legal action against someone who may infringe or interfere (intentionally or not) with the rights or property of the firm, other visitors, list members, or any other person who may be harmed by such activities. The firm also reserves the right to disclose information about visitors or the list members when it believes in good faith that the law requires it.

We may offer you the opportunity to subscribe to newsletters or promotional communications sent by email. If you have chosen to receive these forms of communication, we will use your name and email address to communicate with you. Out of respect for your privacy, we offer you the option to unsubscribe. Security and information protection

The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our payment forms, we encrypt that information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during its transmission and after its receipt. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, nor any method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Firewall

The protection of the security of your personal information is very important to us. When we store the information you provided to us when you signed up for the service, that information is protected by security measures including "firewalls" (a combination of hardware and software that prevents unauthorized visitors from accessing the information on our computer network), "intrusion detection systems" (a combination of hardware and software that allows for the detection of any unauthorized visitor) and other tools such as data encryption and physical security, where applicable. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any data storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, even though the firm strives to protect your personal information and your privacy, it cannot guarantee the security of the information that you disclose or transmit to us online and cannot be responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your personal information.

Links to other sites

Please be aware that when you are on the Site, or when you receive an email from us through the Service, you may be directed to other sites that are beyond our control. There may be links to other sites from the pages of the Site or the email we send you that take you away from our Site. These other sites may send their own cookies to visitors, collect data, or request personal information. The privacy policies of these other sites may be significantly different from this privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information that is collected there. Note that when you connect to a third-party site from the Site, you may see data fields pre-filled with your personal information; however, this information is not available to the third party unless you take certain actions on the third-party site, such as submitting a form.

Children's Privacy Policy

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age on the Site or through the Service. If you are under 13 years old, please do not provide us with any information. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 years of age, we will make all commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information from our database.

Changes to this policy

The terms of this privacy policy may be modified from time to time. We will inform you of any significant changes to the current privacy policy by posting a notice on the homepage of the site for a reasonable period after these changes have been made, indicating that the current privacy policy has been updated, and by modifying the effective date at the top of the current privacy policy. We encourage you to regularly check this page to be aware of any changes. Your continued use of the Site and your participation following the publication of the changes to these terms will mean that you accept these changes.
